Picked out the best finds from the weekend searching a local field freshly drilled with Barley. Surface was perfectly flat, and quite busy with signals. I think there were forty or so buttons in all, a couple of copper coins of Charles II and William III (wiped out). Deus running the elliptical coil picked out a host of tiny non-ferrous scrap including the minute Henry V Halfpenny dated 1413-22 (his coins are scarce) A broken 22ct ear-ring and a lead token plus the decorated buttons from Elizabethan times to 18th century made it a great day. For field work the Deus with a white coil is perfect for me & its featherweight is brilliant.
