For two weeks its been dry hot and just plain unhealthy weather!
With a break in the heat, my son and I ventured out with shovels and jackhammers in hand to a vacant lot permission.
We didn't stay long because of the hard digging but, my son managed to pull this
really cool Motorman Rail Road button with a pin still attached to the back!
Any ideas on why the pin is on the button?
We believe it is from the late 1800's

It cleaned up real nice with a toothpick. We then hit it with some Ammonia followed by
a little nose grease to highlight the letters.
My best find of the day was this 1865 Indian.
Again pretty toasty but that's the nature of Indians!

We are expecting some rain this week so we hope to go back pretty quick to do some real digging!
HH everyone!
