Mountain howitzer

I've heard a little-talked-about loss from the period of 1850-1870 of the above, and have an approximate location for same. Probably deep underwater (30-40 feet?) now, with a lot of overburden. Is this something that would be worth the extraordinary search time and effort to remove? What would be the approximate value of something that has been underwater that long? Or is it worth even searching for?
