Muscatine/Louisa Counties 1910

A train robbery took place about 7 miles south of Muscatine in an area known as Whiskey Hollow in 1910. Both robbers were caught shortly afterwards, near Columbus Junction. They had no loot in their possession and none was ever reported to have been found. There is a great discrepancy in the amount claimed to have been stolen: from$5k to as much as nearly $50k.
