✅ SOLVED Musket piece? Need some help on this one.

I found two of these in the vicinity of one of my usual 'Fur Trade' areas...I am assuming it's a piece of a musket but not sure. It's made of steel (just got it cleaned up). The other one was in way worse condition and still in the electrolysis tank. Appreciate any assistance...

You would think they would have made a maple syrup tap from something other than steel...mmmmm. Rusty syrup. Yummy.
