Must be a silver fever going around!

Like JimDon, today I hit silver at a thrift. I found two beautiful sterling belts (I actually like the simpler one over the etched/ornate one) and a sterling pierced compote dish about seven inches high!

I'm not sure what to do with the belts, but for $1.99 each, I couldn't not take them home! I guess they can't catch everything at their sorting stations.

I bought a stuffed turkey as well to throw them off! For some reason I felt a little bad, because they didn't know what they were. But that's the business we treasure hunters are in I guess! Rescuing things. And I guess if it wasn't me, it would've been someone else.

Anyone got guesses on the belts, or what they'd be worth? The fancy one is marked 'Diablo' Sterling - and the other one is just marked sterling. I've never come across belts before - but with your gold buckle chat, I figured I'd take a look. Still holding out for that 18k one!




And the stuffed turkey found a home, too. My pup George thinks it's grand. So win, win!

Amazing! I hit the belt section every time. Yet to find sterling. My time is coming.

Way to go. I would estimate the Diablo Sterling belt at $40-$50 if it's clean. Maybe start at $50 and see what happens. Looks unique. The other sterling belt looks fairly common, maybe find it a home for $20-$30? Nice margin.
