I bought a White's MX5 a few weeks ago and am still trying to get the hang of it. My question is related to discrimination. Why does my detector still make tones when I hit targets that are to be discriminated out? Isn't that the point of the discrimination feature? I usually program the machine to discriminate out anything less than +10.
Also, can someone explain what the threshold function is for? Where should I have that set at? I run the sensitivity about 3 notches below max.
I like the machine so far, and have had good success coin shooting with it (no silver yet!) but still trying to get the machine "dialed in" so to speak.
Thanks in advance.
