MXT (or other Whites) vs. Minelab X-Terra 705

MXT (or other White's) vs. Minelab X-Terra 705

I've had the 705 for several months and probably have 40 hours or so on it. I feel the recovery time is a bit slow, and have been thinking of a new machine. How would you compare the MXT , or another White's within price range, with the 705. My primary targets are coins. Thanks in advance.

I haven't used a minelab machine but do own a MXT and wouldn't trade it for any 3 other detectors. I've had lots of great finds, it will find very small targets very deep for sure. I hunted an old spot that lots of others have went over with lots of brands of metal detectors and pulled 30 coins most from the 1800's, the oldest being 1864. Get used to that detector and I think it would be hard to beat, the new MXT PRO has tone ID. They took an already top of the line detector and made it even better with tone ID, backlit display, and ground grab. HH

The 705 is a very good detector and so is the MXT. I have been using the MXT for 8 years and have tried a 705, not for me I will stick with the MXT. That being said they are completely different animals and hard to compare in any other way than to say, they are both very good detectors.

MXT or MXT PRO.....Hands down the better choice..
