Hello again.

Here it is, my second favorite find of the 2006 season.

My second gold coin ever, both made into jewelry items by the way. Note the 14kt gold chain that is was attached to. It's a 1858 $2-1/2 coin with a hole drilled through it, made into a pendant.

I found it on October 1, 2006 in the back corner of an overgrown field that was once a horse riding stable that had hay rides also.

Here's a link to the whole story:

Thanks for reading. HH to you all.
Here a couple photos of it if you don't want to travel on the link.

Don't you just love it when a gold coin pops out of the hole or cig. pack. It's such a great feeling.... but then, I'm only guessing cause I haven't found 1 yet... I love that story...............

Second favorite huh. Your one lucky dog Boobie. How you gonna top this one. Your first must be in a museum lol.

Take care man. And what a great season.

amazing find!
what was the first gold coin?

Bob, having held that baby in my hands I can honestly say the picture just does not do it justice!! Maybe you can do a photo that is at least 480 pixels wide. 800 would look great. That is an awesome find. ;D ;D ;D
