I got out for 4 hours today and dug up my 6th large cent an 1804 draped bust. I also managed 4 colour buttons a pear shaped thingy that is flat on the back a blob of some type of metal like babbitt or silver, it does not appear to be lead. and finally in the middle what I think is a clock winder. the shaft is flat on one side for about 1". and another 2 lbs of sinkers.

1804 large cents are very rare nice find

thanks, this one won't win any beauty contests but I sure like it.

I have to "wet" the coin just to see what little image remains. my old fuji mx1200 does not take the greatest picks either. but here you go.

I found 2 more buttons an imperial standard and another colour type. a very neat brass buckle and a .36 caliber musket ball plus my usuall 2 lbs of sinkers.

I'm proud of everything god gives me and I thank him for everything on the spot. I can't think of any other hobbies scuba/metal detecting that produce this much great fun and great finds. I think that winder goes to the clock pieces I found earlier. thanks for the kind words folks, I truly do appreciate them. to those who have not found one yet, just keep on swinging, yours is waiting on you.

happy hunting to all.
