This is a pair of fawns that I cared for last spring while their mother, who was hit by a car, recooperated in the woods in front of my house. They were very young and could not nurse because the doe was lying down. They would venture out into the yard and try to nibble on grass, but couldn't eat it. So I bought two calf nursing bottles and worked diligently for 2 weeks to get them used to me being close to them. At first they would have none of it and run back to their mother. But eventually hunger won out and they came to me for milk from the bottles which sustained them until the doe was able to get up again. She made it ok and left with the fawns in tow. They returned a couple of times to see me, but never let me get close to them again.
