Here are some old iron tops from an old 1835 graveyard fence. The real iron fencing has long been gone. The grave yard was all woods until my son- in- law tried to clean the area. I do not know what the broken pointed stone is ?? The penny and dime were found in my yard. I did have fun today, but boy !! AM I TIRED !!

believe the boken pointed stone is an indian tool

Nice work... good for your son-in-law for cleaning up that cemetary!

I always think the stone tools are Native American, but I truthfully know nuthing about the subject.

I am no expert but I would venture a guess that the pointed stone piece was a weight from a fishing net. possibly native American of origin.

Very cool thimble-- and that stone (1/2 stone) w/ drilled hole is called, I think, a 'banner stone'. Broken or not, it's VERY cool, and you might consider checking around w/o your MD for American Indian relics! What a great spot you have! Right on!!! ;D

Neat finds, Carolina! Keep digging and posting!

Very nice arrowhead there under the penny. Every Indian artifact I ever found that had a hole in was always broken right through the hole. Good job there!

Actually that weird piece looks allot like a : (Look at shoe stretcher/shaper - they are made of wood now, but check it out) shoe sketcher.
Nice finds!!

Could be what abbey said, a banner stone( a counterweight for a Atl-Atl , an ancient spear throwing device, pre-dates the bow and arrow )

..............HH.... Definitely check the area for more stone tools and points!

Nice relics....I'd keep looking for more, there has got to be way more.

Thanks ! :) My brother came over today and said the same thing. He explained to me how it was used. I have found many arrow heads where this was found.

:o Wow! I was right! Now THAT'S something!!! Very very cool! .... and by the way, if you need a little help out there... ;)

Nice Finds Carolina...

WAY TO GO...looks like you have a hot spot there... :o

Love the thimble...are there any size numbers on it??? 10 or 12 perhaps??? is it engraved???
Back in the day sewing was a big part of life...Women would actually have sewing parties...the older women would also "gift" the younger women with a thimble. Sometimes the thimble was engraved with the young ladies name...

Looks like you had a great day...when it comes to diggin' sore and tired are a good thing...

Nick

Thanks Nick :) I will have to try and clean the thimble and see if any detail is there . At work today so I will do this later. Thank you and all >for all the encouragement ! What a wonderful bunch of Treasure Hunters YOU are !! ;D
