My Best Find after 50 years of Detecting

I have been metal detecting since 1968. I have dug all kinds of buttons, Bullets , Coins (Oldest 1762 Spanish 2 reale) Canon balls and grape shot. On February 15 2018 I was showing a friend how to swing a coil and detect. We was at a old home next to his we had permission to hunt. I had told Bob he could have everything we found. I was also showing him how to dig with one of my trenching shovels. On our first target I got a good hit with my Deus. Bob started to dig I told him to back up a bit more but he started digging to close to my pinpoint spot. Out pops this round chunk of metal about 2 3/4 inches in diameter. After i seen it I told bob This was a first for me and sure would hate to give it away. I think Bob seen the TEARS in my eyes and i spoke and said he understood and for me to KEEP IT

I seen on here today someone foun7 plates in a single hole. The lord must have been good to him/ I am just happy for the one i found
