I spent the weekend in my hometown in NW Ohio. I had permission to hunt a field and a yard in historic areas and I hit them hard. The field was a tough search with 2" high old soy bean stubble blocking nearly every swing, but I managed to pull buckshot and musket balls and a buckle anyway. The yard was another story: I found an Indian Head pocket spill and other finds from the 1880's to 1920's range.
**1887, 1891, 1900 and 1903 IHs
**A Lehigh Portland Cement Company Watch Fob
**A Schrader / Goodyear Tire Pressure Gauge
**A copper printing plate that appears to show a hand pouring something out of a pitcher into a funnel and into something else. Maybe engine oil, molten metal, milk? Help?
**A lead or pewter (?) whatsit that is fairly heavy and oxidized, with shiny metal underneath and a slight curve to it. Crudely made. Help on identifying this appreciated.
**Musket balls and buckshot, plus a buckle of some kind.

The 1" Whatsit is a dress weight. It was sewn into the hem of the dress/skirt to weigh it down. Also, I live not far from lehigh cement in ny, cool find!

great IHs.......nice dig
