With the weather hitting springtime conditions and with plenty of places to hunt. I couldn't wait for Fri-Sat-Sun to get here. Friday I choose a place that I know saw some action during Hoods retreat from Nashville. At this location I got a couple of fired Minnie balls and the nice flat button pictured. It has a back mark of Robinson, jones co. so know it dates 1828-1839. Wish I could say some Confederate dropped it but who knows.
Saturday , got all the Enfields pictured and the eagle button that cleaned up super nice.
Also the last photo shows some lead and a Eagle I button with a push came from that hunt too.
Today's search only netted me the Eagle coat and cuff button ( 2nd from last photo) along with a couple of .58's (not pictured) and this fat .69
Basically had super fun hunting for these relics but 3 days goes by super fast. Enjoy the post!!
