What a year it's been! This was my fourth season of detecting, but I wasn't able to detect nearly as much as the previous three years. The "big find" of the year for me has been the building of our new house. Since we have been doing most of the work ourselves, plus owning and operating my own full time construction company, getting out to detect when I could was a really nice.
I found a total of 511 coins with face value of $18.69, including 27 silver coins. Wow, that's it haha?! Even with the small scale, I still managed to be around the 5% silver, which is consistent with other years. Oldest coin this year is the 1838 Seated Liberty dime, my first ever! It was nice to find a mix of old Canadian and US coins, keeps it interesting.
We are hoping to be moving into the new house by the end of January, so when things melt in April, and with our project completed--can't wait to spend more time DETECTING!!
