I.Nils you have a very nice collection. (And your English is better than most American's!) Welcome to TreasureNet. It's always enjoyable to see collections from other parts of the world. Did you dig up the box? What detector do you use? I wonder if the Finnish soldier's family would be interested in receiving photos of the box?

Yes I dig up the box ... but near I didn't find bones so I think maybe this soldier can be still alive. For me to it will be very interesting to find T.Ahonen or his family. It will be very interesting to chat with them and maybe they will want to recieve this Box.
I'm student so I can allow my self very simply detector like used Garrett ACE 150 (not very good to find war relics, but good for coins and other small things). It will be very interesting to recieve any information about T.Ahonen.
P.S. On the Box is written "Kannas" then I think "1.1.1942" and "T.Ahonen"

Welcome, & nice finds, Fossis...................

WOW!! That's a nice find. The old pineapple type of grenade. Often seen used in old Hollywood war movies....pull the pin, lob it into the fox hole and duck for cover.

;D ;D dangerous area if this type of granade thrown is up to 200 meters. Loaded granades weight - 600 gramms and the time to run away from this dangerous thing is 3,2 - 4,2 seconds ::) so better think two times when U want to throw this granade on the clear pitch ;D ;D

Two forks... one is German from WW2 other I think Russian, but don't know how old is it.

The second fork appears to be really old. You have a varied array if treasures. Nice work.

Does anybody knows where I can find information about this T.Ahonen? Some internet resources or forums?

There is a Tomi Ahonen who writes books. His website is www.tomiahonen.com. Maybe you can email him and provide a photo of the box and ask if he knows anything about it. There is a United States Veterans Adminstration website, but they don't give out information about veterans without some proof of relationship to the veteran in question.

Welcome to Tnet, I love your collection, Love to see things from other parts of the world, Hope you find the owner or relitives of the man who owned the tin. An awsome find:icon_thumleft:
