CANT REALLY SAY I FOUND THEM, BUT WENT TO THE BANK FRIDAY AND GOT $10 OF THE NEW GEORGE WASHINGTON DOLLARS. NICE DESIGN AND PROBALLY ONLY BEEN A COLLECTORS PIECE LATER ON. NOW ONE QUICK QUESTION, DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY ARE GOING TO MINT THESE AT PHILLY AND DENVER MINT?

I think the mint mark is on the edge of the coin. There is another post showing the mint mark.

It'll take a hundred years for that ugly coin to be worth anything.

Sorry, but the US mint is putting out some cheap coins these days. The least they could have done is made the thing with some silver in it. 40% silver, or even nickle would be better than copper.

Bluck!.

Hope some place doesn't try to give me one of those as change.

Almost everyone is getting "D" mm as of now, one person on here did get a "p." I haven't seen any yet.

At least the First Spouse coins will be 24 Karat 10 dollar gold pieces.

And I agree. Earlier US coinage was much more attractive.

WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAID THEY WOULD BE COLLECTORS ITEMS IS, ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO PUT OUT A DIFFERENT DOLLAR COIN EVERY THREE MONTHS WITH A DIFFERENT PRESIDENT IN ORDER AS THEY WERE ELECTED.

The short answer is yes they'll be collectable, even the quarter sets are still being sold traded collected etc.. and some for a handsome profit. The long answer is that to see a substatial increase in a coins overall value it need time, so that rarity dictates it's value. Therefore e newly minted coin given enough time and chance, could become more valuble. The chance factor is the biggy here. Many things can go into the chances of a coin becoming rare, mintage (How Many were made), How many were circulated into the general public, What the contents of the individual coin is (Gold%,Silver%,Copper% etc...). The age does play a part as well as the condition but the main factor is the rarity. The more people who collect the coin the less the value. Another small part to coin value is errors in the stamping process.

I tried to get some at the bank the other day but they were all gone in one day, guess there is a frenzy about them right now

You could always buy them from U.S. mint online selling them in rolls of 25 for the astoundingly low price of $25.00
word to the wise though staying in rolls helps keep their value up if your looking for the defectives could be wrong way to go destroying rolled value to maybe not find defectives. :-\

here is one I got in Mishawaka Indiana with the Philly mint mark ....
