Yesterday I dug for an hour and a half at my 1850 farmhouse permission. I re-did the small front yard, as I could not believe the only coins there were the two wheats I found previously. About 5 minutes in, I dug a wheat penny followed by a small buckle. I then got a higher 20s signal and was thinking clad dime, but hoping for silver. I was happy when I dug my first 2 cent piece. It was in a sunny well-drained area, so it is in great shape. Dug a Roosevelt a short while later, but had really hoped for a Barber or older. Dug two more wheats before it got too dark, one of which was a 1909 (no VDB). I can't wait to go back, but these short days are going to make that tough. Thanks for looking. Happy hunting!
