My first and best find (diamond ring)

Hello this is my first post on treasure.net talking about my first find. A few weeks ago i was walking in the neighborhood park when i spot a ring the grass, i didnt use a metal detector so i guess it was a pretty lucky find.After some examination i found out it was a diamond ring with 1 diamond in the center with 2 smaller ones on either side of it. I also saw small gemstones on either side of the diamonds, about 4 on each side. Im not sure what kind of gemstones thos are,but anyways i put up flyers all over the neighborhood and the surounding area and after 3 weeks noone called to claim it. Well i decided to get it apraised at a local jewlry store. Actually im going today so after i come back i will post pictures and ill tell u guys how it went and most importantly how much its worth. I've decided that if the ring has any value ill buy a metal detector with the money from the ring, i've always like the concept of metal detecting and treasure hunting and i have a small coin colection that i want to had on to anyways So ill tell u guys how the apraisal went later today. cya

Well i went to the jewlry store and found out its not really diamonds. I was a little disapointed,but thats not gonna stop me from pursueing the hobby

Don't feel bad. I just had the same thing happen to me. I guess it's part of metal detecting. Mine was about 1.5 K I thought, oh yeah But the jeweler said, oh NO!

Hey guys thanx for the comments. Ive decided to buy a detector anyways so ive been doind research and the one i think im gonna get is the garett ace 250 i think it will b good for a beginner like me and i found i store nearby thats sells them so you havnt heard the last of me yet! I hope to get it some time this week and i cant wait to start detecting.
