My first boxplate

I went out digging this evening in a field about a quarter mile from my house where a friend of mine dug a boxplate which was bent in half two days ago. I had been digging for awhile I dug the buckle first then after getting no good signals for awhile I get a strong signal and start to dig and I uncovered my first boxplate I was so happy I couldnt believe it. It isnt in the best shape I found a couple more pieces in same hole but in all it is a whole boxplate then on waay back to truck I dug the musketball. I will definately be going back to that field soon. I cant believe that two boxplates came from same field in a couple days.

You never know where you might find one...I found one in the grass strip of the sidewalk one time between the sidewalk and road...Congratulations on your first US box plate
