Ever since I found the Morgan I have been hitting the same area exclusively for the last few trips. Been getting lots of old rusty pieces of metal and lots of garbage but I got some luck today and dug my first Buffalo 5 Cent! I can barely see the last two digits on the lower left and I believe it's 1928. Found another bar token near it as well. "B & M Bar" - Quite unfortunately named!
Like I said, lots of metal around there and it takes some work to get down a ways and see if there's some older coins hidden. Dug some nails (too many) a pocket knife, some old padlocks and my first really old-looking key! Too bad it was in so sad a shape - rusted and broken in half. The other old key looked to be in better shape but it's got a bit of rust too. the larger of the two locks I can read the label a bit and I think it's made by "Corbin"? The smaller one I can't read at all but the label is diagonally across the front of it. Old steak/butter knife, suspender clip and some other misc. One piece has me scratching my head - the round metal disc with the "S" on it. Might have to post that in the "What is it? " thread..
The weekend is finally here! I have my gear packed and am planning on spending some good hours out in this spot on Saturday. Hope everyone has fantastic luck this weekend!!
Thanks for reading!
