I have been hunting for about 35 years and yesterday I found my first Buffalo Nickel. It is a 1929. I didn't even realise that it was my first until I got ready to take pictures of it this morning. I had to check through all my old nickels to make sure.
Well, now all I need is a CS button and I can die a happy man! ;D
I also found a 1912 Wheatie and four arrowheads. Three are broken and the fourth is a small bird point.
A pottery shard and some lead shot ended my hunt.

I looked at it and it is 4 legged.

Nice! Still waiting on my first Buffalo. In my opinion I think the small bird point is just a piece of flint. Maybe a flake from something else being worked? I can tell you have some worked pieces and the one in the middle is definitely a piece of an arrowhead. Can we get a closeup of the bird point?

Tejas,
You are probably right on the bird point. I am by no means an expert on points. My buddy said it looked like a bird point to him so I went with it. These points were found in a plowed field amongst a lot of brick and trash. That is why the others are broken. The one in the middle has a fairly new break on it revealing the true color on the inside.
I have included a picture of my best points. All of these have been found while detecting sites except for the center one. It came from Arizona, found on private land several years ago.

Definitely not a bird point. You do have some cool points though! I own two hundred acres in south Texas and there is an old Indian camp there. I've found a bunch of arrowheads there too.

Big congrats on your first Buffalo nickel

35 years before you found a buffalo, I've been detecting for two years going on three so another 32 for me.
