I went to the local swimmin' hole today around dinner for 2 reasons. I would metal detect for a while then take me a dip. I very seldom ever detect for anything other than Civil War relics but it's to hot in the woods so I was gonna look for coins. I started poppin' up pennies, dimes and quarters like I knew what I was doing. Then I get a decent signal and dig up a small silver ring. I walk back to my polaris ranger for a drink and work up the river. I get a signal and dig up a class ring. I look and see that they graduated the same year I did from the school that my wife went to. She went to a school smaller than mine and I knew every one in her class all 21 of 'em. I cleaned off the inside where I could read the initials and immediatly knew whose ring it was. I called him on the phone and asked him when was the last time he saw his class ring? He said he lost it two days after he graduated and he lost it at the swimmin hole at Mt. Elba. Been there since 1976. He is gonna come get it tonite. Here is a pciture of it after we cleaned it up. Not a good picture but I dont think this stinkin' camera has a macro setting...d2
