Well, my 2nd trip out and I managed a few coins. Got out for an hour and a half tonight. Managed to get 7 coins out of the 15 holes I dug.

I got 3 clad quarters, 3 clad dimes, and a 1941 Wheat Penny.

Nothing all that special, but the wheat penny was the first coin that I dug, so I was pleased with that.

Either way, it was fun to get out after my stressful day at work. I swear I have one of the more stressful jobs known to man, or at least it feels that way to me.

I can tell I'll have a ways to go in learning this machine, but I'm excited that I have managed a few coins with about 4 Total hours on the machine.

Good going Chuck... are you using smartfind or digital?

Actually, I'm trying to utilize both. 2 of my friends both use Explorers, but one uses smartfind and the other uses digital. I'm trying to use both when I think I locate a good target because I'm getting advice from both of them right now.

Either way, they both seem to agree that they listen to the sound above all else.
