It would help if it was cleaned up a little so you could photograph the design.

Any more cleaning and I'm afraid there won't be anything left of the detail on the coin. Anymore cleaning removes detail so I quit. There is not visible detail on the obverse.
 

cool find! at least there's enough still showing to get a good idea when it was minted. Keep up the good work and keep hitting that site! dig everything!

Most of my Youtube videos are entitled "Digging History around Granville County". Have you done much detecting the area? I have been hunting/detecting for 2 1/2 years now.

I think you mean Reverse, as the Obverse is visible, ie. Geo II (Halfpenny)
