My first Crotal Bell! I have a few questions

What kind of metal is it? Has some green on it but also has some spots that look iron but there is no rust. A magnet lightly sticks to it.

If it is brass what is the best way to clean it?

What time period is it from?

Most are Copper or Brass, but I have found a few made of Pewter. The majority of the ones posted on the forum are from the 1800's, but some are earlier than that, and they can go into the 1900's. If you can find a makers name, that may help you narrow it down.

classicbells.com for info the reason it's slightly magnetic is because the ball inside is magnetic. if it has makers marks the should be on the bottom ....nice find
