My first dig, what is it?

It weighs 26 grams and dinged my AT PRO at 94. It is not magnetic in any way. It appears to have been cut from a bigger piece.
I found it near Ft. Pike in New Orleans at the Rigolets.

Sorry, but I don't think it has any value other than scrap.
File on an edge and tell us what color the metal is.
It's not stainless or lead.
Could be brass.

This exactly the way to shape a piece used to reinforce a welded 90 degree joint. the small cut at the 90 degree apex is there to clear the buildup of welded metal in the joint. Looks to be cut with a torch or a plasma cutter. I'm surprised it's not magnetic.
