So by the excitement in the title, I'm guessing you thought y first find would be something better than this but I was excited just to find something in the ground. I only had about 1 hour yesterday to get to my site, hunt and return but I found what I believe is a cast iron pan handle about 10 inches down. Still learning my machine so I don't know if I was ground balanced to pick up everything but I'm excited about it.

keep at it - it only gets better! KY has some good history to it. like your CRH totals box too.

WOO HOO! Kentucky? That could be Colonel Sanders' first fryin' up skillet. He was so happy when he hit upon just the right combination of herbs and spices that he yelled. "I'll be rich, I tell you, rich!". The skillet broke when it hit the ground, but he left it there and ran off to buy a restaurant.

Just a start. You will have a lot of good stuff to show in the future.HH

Yeah, I'm looking forward to hitting some more historical places once I get familiar with the machine. I came running in the house and played it up like I found a bucket of gold coins. My wife gave me the "you're such a geek" look when she saw what I was holding. LOL.

And thanks for the comment about the CRH box. When I was setting up my forum signature, I wanted to get my totals recorded but in a clean format. When I saw the tables button in the signature editor, game over :)

I contend that He was actually from Tennessee as I did find his horse's shoe yesterday. Though that doesn't explain how he came to be called KFC as it no longer matter it should now be call TFC. I consider myself very rich in having found such a historic relic. This is actually my first find so it just shows another great example of whats in store for this adventure.

No doubt upon closer examination its from the Colonels horse and seals this deal. Im guessing what you found is the Kentuck last hope against Louisville :laughing9:
