Wonderful find. Congratulations. Saw lots of 1857 & 1858 flying eagle cents at the coin show in January but no one had the extremely rare 1856 flying eagle cent. One vendor said he had one but sold it for $15,000 a few weeks or months before the show. There is a large coin show in Atlanta next week and they are going to have the 1792 disme? precursor to the dime on display. Saturday is free, March 1st at the cobb galleria. National Money Show · National Money Show It starts the 27 of February on thursday and friday and winds up saturday. They had one of the 1913 nickels on display at a show they had in Dalton last fall. Your flying eagle cent is about the 5th one I've seen since I started going to these forums. It's in excellent shape, also.

They are a favorite find for me. After all, think about it, only made 3 years and the first one doesn't really count. They have got to be a pretty rare coin to find!
