I got a call from a bank where they know me well but I've only been stopping there monthly lately. The vault teller said she was saving $160 in nickels and $100 in cents for me. When I picked them up she said there might be collectable coins in there since an elderly woman who's husband was a collector before he passed brought some of them. Most of the rolls were average and I might have been happy with getting the normal couple dozen wheats and couple of war nickels if she hadn't got my hopes up. But there were 2 rolls that made it a better than average day. One roll of nickels was all pre '50 (no silver), but 12 were liberty nickels, one from each year starting with 1899 - 1912 except for '02 and '09. Not great condition, G8 or F12 at best, but a fun find. Then a roll of cents with the following - a '60d for some reason, 21 wheats from the '40s, 16 pre '40 wheats, the best being a nice '27s. The rest were pre '09 - 1857 flying eagle, 1859 indian head type one, a '00, '02, '04, 2-'06 (one with original luster), '07, '08 and the best - an '08s. My guess is that the '08s is somewhere between F20 and XF40. I'll try to post some pics when my kids come over since I don't have a smart phone.
