I got my first gold ring today! It’s marked with a crown, 18, and a lion. I think the center part is copper and the outer part is gold! I’m very happy with this and left with a big grin!!!

Congratualtions on the Gold ring find! :occasion14: May many more find your coil! :icon_thumleft:

Congratulations. My only gold ring, so far this year, was a 1935 lady's class ring that was marked 20k gold (the outside part of the ring) and the inside was sterling. I have never seen another one like it. Please excuse my old camera's blurry photo.

Awesome job! Believe me, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Keep on digging and you will be amazed at what you find.

That’s a great find, Texas Jay!! That is an old one for sure!!!

Wonderful find there! Any ring is treasure, and yours is an interesting one to boot. Congrats mate!

Nice gold ring find. Congrats.

Nice find!
My grandmother is from the Banta family in Texas. I like history. Did you know there were five Bantas in the Texas Rangers in the 1800’s?

Congrats on the ring. I hope many more follow.

Thank you! I hope for more too, but I’ll take what I can get for now. Just getting out is great to me!!!

Woo-Hooo! Congrats on your first and Many More!:occasion14:

its UK gold - 18k - first of many hopefully :icon_thumright:

Casper: How can I tell a year? I found the hallmark from Sheffield and says it’s 1891. Is that correct?

Awesome. It’s always nice to find gold.
