Got ashore early today and had about an hour and a half left of daylight, now this caused a dilemna, for its deer season. I had to decide whether to grab my shotgun and get the late afternoon spurt or grab my detector and go for an hour. Seeing there is another month or better of deer season and fewer detecting days left, I decided to head to an old foundation I've worked off and on. In the past this area has yielded some old large cents, SLQ's and some other silver. Today I went over an area I had already covered a couple times and found this 1806 Draped Bust half cent...my first half cent. The details are alot better than what shows in the pics...I need to get a scanner. Hopefully the weather will hold for a while and can get a few more weeks of detecting in...:):)
HH!!!

yup what they all said

1806 was a long long time ago
I think most of our area in Kentucky was still woods and trees and Indians and bears and stuff in the early 1800s
there where scattered settlements here and there but hard to find.
I might have to go further north around Lexington to find the good stuff.

Awesome! I've been hoping to find one of those for a while now, I'm glad you got one! Maybe your luck will rub off and I'll find one too!
