I am the 13 year old boy that Metal detects at my grandparents civil war house where they fought. In the front yard I found this beautiful piece of history. I'm so happy! Here's a picture ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1508455146.014891.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1508455182.283744.webp

Good job, nice find. You'll never forget your first Merc.

Congratulations, it’s one of many you will find. Good luck to you!

Congratulations! That is a beauty. Keep it always.

Check the 2. If there's a 1 behind it, you're looking at a coin worth $700-1000

Great find! I also started detecting at your age. Took me a while to find my first merc though. Congrats!! Here's to many more.
