My first silver coin! and its Canadian, who would've guessed...

I finally found my first silver coin yesterday...very unexpectedly! I'm down here in south florida in a town that didn't start until 1960 something. I was hunting the same park that had produce a small diamond ring a day or so before and out comes this dime that is still silver...much like a recently lost clad dime. I noticed it was a Canadian dime...in south Florida...and had a date of 1962. After a lil research I found out it is 80% silver, 20% copper...my first silver coin!

your lucky our silver coins stopped in 1947 & at that point only had 50% silver.

yeh WW2 put a stop to silver based money in england --- due to the massive war debt that had to be paid off.

Lol, that's what my fiance's mom said. My fiance's mom liked the coin 'cause she is Canadian, another interesting quinkydink!
