A buddy of mine had a party a couple a weeks ago ! He was telling me the history of the ball / soccer field behind his house . He said his neighbor had a picture of that field when it was full of WWII recrument and training tents ! It perked my interest enough to give it a go ! 4 hours gridding the outfield ! Still a lot of area to swing . I didnt tear it up but I am happy with my hunt ! I was very excited about my first silver dime love token ! Unfortunately The reverse has been milled as well so I do not know the period of the dime that was used for the token ! There is quite a bit of junk in the field ! I was hoping for a WWII button to verify the site but it did not come ! I ended up with 41 coins , A 49, a 44, and two no date wheaties . Two silvers A 1920 D Merc. The dime love token , An 18th century shoe buckle chape, and some other stuff ! Thanks for looking and happy treasure hunting ! MaineRelic

looks like I can faintly make out the seated design on the love token, and what appears to be a solder spot , so in my opinion it was once a pin

COOL find man, they are rare,I carry the one I found earlier this year,I like to show folks.

GOD Bless

Chris

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Looks like you got a honey of a spot there! I would keep hitting it till nothing good came out for sure. I found a Pin that once was a five dollar gold piece, how I know what it was? Showed it to my Uncle he about had a heart attack right there man! It was made by a jewelery for him and he gave it to his mom and it was lost back in 1939 he spent several days looking for it with out success, he was very happy it was in the hands of a family member!

Very cool finds

Awesome token. I wonder what kind of dime it is
