I was so excited when I got a beep while detecting in my side yard today, I dug down about 6-8 inches and found a wheat penny, was ready to fill the hole in but checked again with the pinpointer and found 2 more wheat pennies. I started filling in the little hole when something shiny caught my eye. It was a 1943 silver quarter! :) IMG_5248.webp

That's great! Welcome to the silver quarter club!! Congrats!

The hole that kept on giving, congratulations on the silver !!

Nothing like the thrill of your first "bigger" silver- mine was a 48-D Washington that happened 26 years ago- remember it like it was yesterday. Hope there are many more in store for you! Congrats & GL!

Nice job! Way to go! Hope you find many more!!

Great find! You are pulling real treasure when you get a chunk of silver like that. Keep up the good work mate! :occasion14:

Congrats on your first silver Q! It will be the first of many!

My first was actually 2. A 1915 D and a 1911 Barbers. There were two wheats in the hole also and I almost thought it was trash. Luckily I could pick onw of them out and I dug it.
Congratulations on the find.

Congrats! That is a great find. Mine was a 52 Quarter found 9 years ago. I bet in 9 years you'll be looking back with rolls of silver quarters :). Always something special about that first one though.

Congrats on your 1st Silver quarter!!!!
