With the CTX 3030 that is. I'll be honest, it has been a little touch and go with this machine. A couple of times I wanted to wrap it around a tree. I reached out to other CTX users on another thread and words of encouragement got me out today to a new site. Using 50 tones I was able to understand the machine. A lot of deep older clad and wheats, knew it was a matter of time. We'll, 1245-1345 down 5 inches out pops a 1944 Washington. Woohoo! Thanks for looking, Mike image.webpimage.webpimage.webp

Some machines take a little more time than others to get use to. Nice job..

Nice first silver!!!

Get over the top of silver and this machine makes noise. What issues were you having?

Silver is sweet.Congrats..HH

This is the toughest machine I have ever learned. Still making me scratch my head. But it does ring on good targets! I love to hate it.

That stinks it has been tough for you. For me it just seemed to click right away and I find the tones very Pleasing compared to most machines. Love the Target ID ability. I know you should dig it all since you never knowing but it sure is nice to know what a bottle cap is, I still dig about every tenth one to make sure!! Funny thing is I just bought a DEUS figuring it would complement the CTX but I can't run it for more than a minute or 2 and walk back to the car and get the CTX :D Keep with it.. you will love it soon enough.

Nice digs. More silver to come

Nice silver! Still waitin on my first
congrats!

Not my first silver by far, just my first with the CTX. Thanks guys. Mike

Congrats on your silver. As you're from NY like me it's a shame you didn't go ahead and wrap the detector around a tree. Nobody in the NY area should by one of those CTX3030's. They are just too darn hard to figure out.
Don (swinging a CTX : )

Being from NY makes me stubborn as a mule as well, LOL. So I will learn it and master it. A lot of guys here are making the switch let me tell you.
Did alot of turkey hunting in Brewster, beautiful place! Mike

Great coin! I hope my first silver looks that nice!

Congrats on your first silver! Firsts are always fun. Gets the adrenaline up. WTG! BTW, what's the little green patina'd thing just above the quarter in the last pic?
