Today I went for a quick lunchtime hunt at a new spot in the woods I've been working on. For some reason I felt like today was going to be good day, and I guess my positive attitude paid off.

I found an 1852 silver three-cent piece (a "trime") - a first for me, and probably the coolest thing I've found this year. I can't believe how small this coin is, and I'm totally amazed that my AT Pro picked it up buried about 8" deep through leaves and roots.

Christmas came early for me this year! Thanks for looking - HH!

Very Sweet! Congratulations!:occasion14:

Congrats on a first, they are a cool find.
I tend to keep track of them as I got one a few years back, it was 6-7 inches deep, and I would have passed on it if it had been in a place with lots of pull tabs, and that is probably one reason why not so many are found.

Another coin you never get tired of digging. You would think for the size of them you would find more seen how they would slip through your fingers so easy. Good job

Really a nice find. Conrats. Its on my bucket list.

Really nice one that I'm still hoping to find. Awesome job!

That is a very sweet coin.
