Third day in my new wooded spot produces a 189? .....she's pretty toasty, but I'll take it. Also got these two carhart buttons. They were abt a foot apart. Also got two wheats, a 1918 and 1919. They are in pretty rough shape. I think the site used to be a dump. Not a whole lot of trash, but the usual nails, rusty cans and a lot of mason jar lids. Oh yeah, a nice clear Vaseline jar, will post later.....HH GL

Congratulations on the finds! The two buttons are very nice.

Looks like maybe 1891?

Congrats on your first!

never have seen a carhart button like that one cool find. congrats on the v nickel always nice to get into 1800s.

Congrats on your first V nickel. Nothing like a first of any coin variety. Unfortunately, most nickels come out of the ground corroded when they're old. Shield nickels are the worst. Way to go!

Congrats on your first!! I remember doing the happy dance when I found my first one. Cool Carhart buttons also!
