I plan on buying my first water detector to use on Lake Erie ,for beaches? and in 4 feet of water.Would a Tesoro Sand Shark work well. Thanks for some info. or any economical ideas
Catmandoc I had the Tesoro Sand Shark long time ago and i sold it. Instead of the SandShark go with the Whites Surfmaster PI Pro. The Surfmaster detects the smaller gold better than the SandShark. Also another one the Headhunter Pulse
I can give you a review on the detector I use: White's Beach Hunter ID
No display
On the heavy side
Wide vocabulary
Water proof to 25'
It floats
Fantastic depth even in salt water
Cool yellow color
Removeable electronics for using a holster
Long battery life
Same dual frequency as the DFX
Overall a great machine
These list for $799, but I bought mine new from the dealer for $680.
I have found an earring post with it so I know it finds tiny gold!
I hope this in some way helps! HH omnicognic 8)
