I was hunting an old farm house yesterday and found my first pocket spill of wheats. I dug the first one, then went over the hole again and got another signal. Dug another wheat. I did that three more times and ended up with a 1934, 1935, 1944, and two 1945's. Those are some finds I won't soon forget...

Re: My first wheat pocket spill

When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, I use to find wheat penny scrambles, where they use to get a lot of saw dust and through a lot of wheat's in with a few prizes,(silver coins), for the kids. You know it was that ,of course , by finding saw dust on the wheat's. It was not uncommon for me or my Dad to get a hundred or so wheat's from one of these. :)
