My highest amount of clad in 1 day at the beach..

Well I beat my own record today..in 4 hours in the dry sand I found $7.16 in clad..my previous one day total was $4 something.. also found a silver colored heart (no markings but heavy) a small crown and another little key.
the picture shows 2 days with a junk ring and 3.50 clad ..didn`t feel like separating it..it was pretty hot out there this morning..left at 10:45am got there at 6:15am

Boy did I run into a couple md`ers that were sure rude..as I was in 1 spot digging a bunch of coins i found in 1 spot--- these 2 people come detecting within 2 feet of me..they were so close my machine was going nuts from picking up their machines...he didn`t speak english very well when i was telling him he was too close and screwing my machine up. I would never intentionally detect anywhere near where someone is already at....he even swung his coil over where i was just digging behind my feet..what nerve!!
there was a time when i almost collided with another md`er probably because we were both looking at the ground and surprised each other when we looked up..

I think I am going to follow your system of doing the grid - looks like it is more than luck in finding that much. Congratulations!

Now that is incredible! Gridding seems to be the way to go even at the beach! I've been told several times that I wander around too much and they are probably right. That is an impressive amount of clad for just a couple of days. WTG Mike!

I always wander all over the place, I figure the detector will guide me. Plus sometimes I like to wander just a little closer to the bikinis.

You are doing very well. I notice in your posts that you are finding more and more each time. Congrats. It shows persistence and learning ones machine pays off.

Rude detectorists, there a few out there. It's sad that they don't respect other people. These are the same ones that never find anything anyway. Many times if I am in a lane and someone else is walking towards me in the same lane with a detector, I move over to one side. I notice usually they do to. It's called being courteous. Maybe they were just learning and thought they were going to strike it rich.....

When I have extra time, I do the grid pattern in the dry sand or even in the water. It increases your finds a lot. Have you noticed also with swinging slower you find more too? The rude ones usually are swinging all over the place, they usually only find garbage, and usually you can find the evidence of it because there is the hole they dug with the garbage on the side.
