It is was a beautiful day here in north Georgia with a high of around 64F - quite a difference from the frigid Christmas eve weather of around 12F. I won't be able to make it out tomorrow and it looks like the 31st is set to rain, so this was most likely my last hunt for the year. I went to an 1840's town where I found a shield nickel in the past.

I was able to get permission at this lovely Victorian style home. The GIS says it was build in 1908 but the plaque on the home says 1845. The homeowner was part of the town historical society and she explained that the original part of the house was built in 1845 and then in 1896 the new owners began an extension which included the new front. Supper nice people.

The yard had been searched several times prior to me but I still found some goodies. Nothing dating back to 1840's but jump ahead 100 years and I found a few things from the 1940's. Two sliver dimes, a neat N&W button, a non-precious metal Indian dream catcher, and IDK what its but some type of neat du-dad. Thanks for looking!
