Today's hunt produces my oldest coin

Went out for a hunt in the field, and had a great time. Scored a gilt spoon, a buckle and my oldest coin so far. An 1806 British penny! It looks to be in good shape, just needs some cleaning. Thanks for looking guys!

Did you try letting it soak in olive oil for awhile...then pick at it with toothpick...tedious but it worked on my 2-center. One unfortunate...thing about my 2 center was date came off ...uggg!!

Thanks again guys! It's soaking in olive oil, and will probably be there for a few months. You can see every detail under the crust, so it should be a looker! Lol
