A low tide surprise yesterday. A 14k school ring, now I just need to find the owner so I can return it.

Wow that’s amazing! And really nice that you are looking for the owner. I’d do the same. Great work, and happy to know the Safari is picking up those gold signals!

That....is a beautiful ring! Congratulations on the find!!

Congratulations on your AWESOMELY GREAT LOOKING GOLD CLASS RING!

Beautiful ring! Most of the ones I got this year had one kind of stone or another on it.

For those who have a safari, the meter read a solid 13, the ring was in the wet hard packed sand 6 inches down.:occasion14:

Nice find! :icon_thumright:

And wow on a 13. 9 is as high as I have ever seen a ladies ring on my Safari. When you say sand, I assume this was a beach find?

Very nice find.

It will be a huge surprise to the owner if you can locate her.

Nice work! I rarely dig under 14 on the safari unless I am beach or water hunting. I find the Safari to be deeper than my excal on gold in wet salt sand unless the water is going over the coil. In that case the excal has the advantage. So Safari on the dropping tide, excal when its coming back in. I missed the king tide since we haven't had any weather to speak of that would be advantageous for uncovering older stuff at the beach and its too far to just whimsically go but I am ready if we get a blow here on the East coast.

Beautiful ring! :occasion14:

I was taken a step back yesterday, I accidentally found a lady's 14k gold ring while digging another signal. THIS ring showed a solid 9, (in relic mode) which has ALWAYS been junk for me, most always foil. My 14k ring shows 15, and of course I understand different sizes and thickness will equal some different numbers, but 9? I will dig at 10, because I have had surprises at 10, nickels being one, different angles? and a couple of nice rings of "other" alloys, but again 9 had always been foil and now I'm thinking, Oh no, what MIGHT I have missed? In a park I do need to draw a line, my legs will take only so much of getting down and up again, it had kind of always been pull tabs, nickels, lead sinkers, gold rings all somewhat around the same numbers, but now, pull tabs, nickels, lead sinkers AND foil? Oh man O man, what might I have missed?......Well, as the saying goes, "Keep calm and carry on". Very nice ring clv. Great find. Hope we all have many more.
