THANKS FOR SHOWING MY FINDS AND TO LET ME HUNT WITH YOU GUYS! THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO , I'M SURE YOUR NIGHTMARE WON'T LAST TO LONG! HOPE TO SEE YOU ON SUNDAY. SEEMS LIKE I DO BETTER WHEN YOU BRING YOUR CAMERA, THANKS AGAIN! :icon_sunny:

Nice video Dave! Congrats on your finds! I think you did good, but I know how were all addicted to silver now. It's like a drug.

Do you think MD'ists would pay to dig up seeded fields of turf that were aged? It might be the next best start-up idea ;-) (we would make sure to sprinkle a few crack pipes around for a realistic experience... nothing dangerous like glass wine necks or razor blades though)

Great video, Dave! Great way to educate some of the naysayers about some of the stuff we see and hear. You should include some footage of just moving your detector over the ground and let them listen to all the trash that is under the surface. I am sure that some people would be shocked at how much trash is out there.

What nightmare? You had a great hunt with some great guys, so there.

On another forum some years back after seeing some nimrod post a hand-wringing account of detectorist damage that was actually a field of squirrel digs I posted a photo essay on animal digs, golf-practice divots, soccer and other field sports damage and was treated like a low-born heretic for it. Never mind that I am a low-born heretic, when it's right it's right.

And you put it right, thanks!

Cool video Dave! You had me going for a sec with that pocket spill... ;D

Nice video Thanks for sharing it.....I have found out in my long drought of no silver, I to have dreams of finding it and then wake up to reality.....

Great video, Dave! I think that was a great hunt!!!

That Buff has great detail, and you got an Illinois tax token! I wanted one and only just recently found my first one.

Thanks for the cool tip on cleaning nickels, too!

I thought I would take more footage of the detectorists view of the target in raw form (Before digging) So they can be as surprised as me LOL

I AM happy with my finds.....Just wanted to show we don't always find silver on every hunt. I also wanted to briefly show what we detectorists see in the field, and that they should worry more about cleaning up the riff-raff Drugies than gripe about they rare detectorist that does not cover his holes...Let US the detectorists weed THEM out.

L.O.L........Yeah .On purpose...........L.O.L..........I figured the viewers would know the difference between the real found silver , and the first (Planted view) in (My Dream).

We were just talking before the hunt...How #1 In order to find Silver ....You have to first swing your coil over it....That doesn't always happen especially in these old (Getting to be Hunted out parks....)
AND #2.......Positive Attitude...I believe (As well as others) That You have to be focused, and interested in the signals to make better finds....When we get Bored or burned out on the trashy signals w/out any of us making a silver find....It's either time to move to a different spot,,,,or take a lunch break, and come back refreshed............On more than half my hunts..I have made my better finds after a break.........
.......I also think it is a good idea to say what Mel Fisher made famous....."Today is The Day" I am going to find a Large cent,I am going to find a Shield Nickle,Today I am going to find my first 3 cent silver....Or in my case......"Today I am going to find my first Seated or Bust Silver Coin"....I know it will happen when I least expect it......It sure would be nice if it would happen THIS YEAR Tho.....L.O.L.

Thanks kimsdad....I had just thought to try that, and it worked out....Have to rub a little with the fingers ,then a couple minutes with a tooth brush & B.K.F.

Does anyone know the years they issued the tax tokens, & why it says 'Occupation Token' ? I am very curious ?

Nice video Dave. I believe that Sunday was the first time ever in 2 years of hunting together that we all got skunked on the same day. Oh well, next weekend is a new weekend. TMAN...
