Just received my new Gold Bug 2 today. I'm officially well-rounded and have all my treasure hunting bases covered.

Here's my setup, as far as detectors, coils and pinpointers go:

XP Deus (v4.1) with 11", 9" HF, and elliptical HF coils. MI-6 pinpointer. Mainly used for coinshooting and relics.

Minelab Equinox 800 with 11" coil. Garrett carrot pinpointer. Mainly used for beaches.

Fisher Gold Bug 2 with 6.5" coil. Falcon MD20 pinpointer. Mainly used for gold.

My collection is complete.

So what's everyone else swinging? Feel free to list your setup below.

I just stick with my AT Pro and Garrett carrot. I would like to buy a sniper coil for cellar hole hunts, though. That big 8.5"x11" coil is tough in spots full of nails.

I've got an AT Pro, Garrett Carrot, a Fisher F2, assorted shovels and outdoor gear, and -- as of last night -- I got my favorite piece of treasure hunting gear to date:

That's a '13 and mine's a '14, but it's the same look. Can't wait to load her up and head out this weekend!

Nice! Off-road, here we come!

Very nice vehicle, should hold all of your detectors and extras in style! :occasion14:

I use...

Whites DFX
Game Finder
Probe
UV Light
Drone
Aqua View
Magnets
GoPro on an extendable rod
Mirror on an extendable rod....Both used to check for snakes. lol!
'72 Honda CT90
Chevy Z-71 Silverado with a topper for keeping stuff out of sight and to get everything to where I'm hunting.

I'm wanting to get an AtPro or AtMax to go farther in the lake and deeper creeks. The DFX has always been a Great Detector for me and if it were submersible I'd not think about another one.

Great Topic! I'm interested to see what everyone uses.

Kace, explain UV light please. I know about Motel linens. I use mine to check for A/C leaks, etc.

Got the AT PRO with the 6x8, stock and the 13" NEL Storm.
Fisher F75 LTD with the 4" the 81/2x 11 and the NEL Tornado.
White M6 with stock and 8x10. Gonna sell it.
XP Deus with stock 9 and the HF. Just trying to get it tuned up. And that's all the boss will allow.

Hi Marvin,

Long wave UV works the best to show where wall paper for instance could of been cut and put back and maybe there is paper cash behind it. Wall Paper could of also been cut and peeled back and there's a hole that's been made in the wall hidden by the paper.

Long Wave UV is also used to find New Paper Cash because the Strips in the paper money glow different colors for different denominations under UV Light.

Diamonds glow Blue under Long Wave UV Light. There are a few other stones UV will pick up.

Usually I'll only use this in homes or structures... old cash money will not glow but people used to put it behind Wall Paper/Walls in their homes.

Here's a couple pics...

Good Luck,

Kace, Thanks a bunch for you lesson in Black Light. Mine has a long neon shaped bulb that I use for detecting Freon leakage. Actually it detects the leak detector Dye that I put in beforehand.
Now to find if mine is Long Wave.
Thanks again.

I miss having more than one machine but have had health problems so I never went out for a couple of years.
Right now I only my Tesoro Outlaw with the 3 coil pack and my Garrett pinpointer which I will be using this year.
Did some research and I'm going to get the AT MAX, Equinox 800 and a Garrett pro-pointer AT.
