Got out on a PPP that had been hit before but I was finding just enough to keep me going. I'd find a wheat or a quarter every 15 to 20 minutes but it was slow going trying to pick goodies outta the iron patch.
Found a button with the great seal and said to myself, "I found an eagle!".
#2 is a Mexican "un centavos" from 1892. I though "another cool eagle".
Then, as it started to rain a little and getting tired of all the iron, I get a good hit between the grunts and dig to see a BIG gray disc. I'm thinking, "what the H is that". Picked it up and saw the third cool eagle of the day and even though she's seen much better days, she is a B E A U T !!!

Gotta love "Eagles"..
Great Dig's

This is my second dug Morgan. This one is in much better shape than the one I found that was in a lake for 100 or so years.

Anywho, finally got something posted to share with everyone. I enjoy seeing others finds and thought this was a hunt to post.

Notice the lack of finds. I had four wheats, 2 quarters, a dime, nickel, one memorial cent and an aluminum play dime besides the two 1800 coins. The morgan is 1891.
As a coinshooter, I usually have a lot more coins.

HH AND GL ALL!

the ugly one is very pretty in my eyes. congrats on the eagles and the other cool finds

Awesome finds! What state are you in? In the Southwest, its not uncommon for a Mexican coin like that to turn up.

I updated my Sig, Old Pueblo. I am in Denver and yes, we find Mexican coins here all the time.

It don't get much better than that! Congratulations on a beautiful find!

Nice hunt ! Is there a mint mark on your 1891 morgan ? I cant tell.--:occasion14:

Those are some great saves!! Great pics and post.
Congrats !!

What a nice bunch of finds! I would be happy with y one of them. Any idea what the circle/ring/part might be? I found something similar. Thanks!

RVRoamer66. My pics are marginal!
Underwonder. I believe you are talking about the lead hem weight or curtain corner weight. They come in all sizes and shapes. Well, I've found round and square ones, small, and larger like the one pictured.
Thanks everyone.
Tom, no mint mark.

Thanks, Javadriod. I saw your post on the 21s and you are having a great year with the gold coin as well.

Is that what the circle with the marble in it is? My "ring" has a seam and is very lightweight so I am thinking it might just be a spacer or tool part, but does not feel very heavy or weighted. Thanks for the ideas.

I thought you were talking about the lead item up top on the left side. The ring is just a copper/brass washer/seal. I find them all the time and chuck them in the brass bucket.
