My Weekend find.

This weekend I found this unique heavy carved statue of a what looks to be a Chinese man holding a staff at a church yard sale.....weighs about 2-3 lbs..at only 7 inches tall x5 1/2 wide...looks to be some info on the inside of this figure, but scared to remove it...any info or input would be appreciated. .. Ohh, and I got it for a dollar...

Thx...so I'm guessing the smoke comes out his ears, and mouth..I'll have to pick up a insence to try it out...
